Task Timer Assistant ("the Extension") helps you manage tasks with a timer, track productivity, and temporarily block distracting websites. This policy explains what data is handled and why.
1. Data stored on your device
The following information is stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage) and is never sent to us or to third parties:
- Your tasks (name, duration, date, status, sessions);
- Your settings (language, theme, sound, and preferences);
- The list of websites you chose to block;
- The position of the floating widget and timer state.
This data stays entirely on your device and is erased when you uninstall the Extension or clear its data.
2. Usage Data and Feedback
- Feedback & NPS: If you choose to submit feedback or an NPS score through the Extension popup, your score, optional comment, language, and extension version are sent securely to our feedback system. This feedback contains no personal identifiers.
- Analytics: If analytics are enabled, anonymous usage events (such as tabs viewed or actions like creating tasks) may be processed to help improve the Extension. No task names, website content, or browsing history are ever collected.
3. Website Blocking
To temporarily block distracting websites selected by you, the Extension checks the domain of the active tab locally on your device. This check is processed entirely within your browser and is never stored or sent to any server.
4. Permissions
The Extension requests the following browser permissions solely to provide its features:
- Access to websites / Scripting / Tabs: Required to render the floating widget and apply the temporary blur overlay on websites you explicitly choose to block.
- Storage: Required to save your tasks, schedules, and settings locally.
- Alarms, Notifications, and Audio: Required to trigger the timer chime and notify you when a task ends.
We do not use these permissions for any other purpose.
5. Data Sharing & Security
We do not sell, rent, or trade any user data. All stored data remains strictly local to your browser.
6. Your Rights
